What is anti-reflective coating?

Anti-reflective coating (also known as “AR”) is an optical coating applied to the surface of the lenses.  It works to reduce glare and reflections; this can be especially helpful for those who use their eyeglasses for computer work, night driving, or in other areas where glare is present.  Wearers of anti-reflective coated lenses often report feeling less fatigued at the end of the day, an added benefit!

The coating is also cosmetically beneficial since it makes the eyes of the wearer more visible to others.   Furthermore, all anti-reflective coated lenses sold on include UV protection at no additional cost.  This added feature works to block harmful UV rays that can lead to retinal damage, cataracts, and other ocular problems.

Anti-reflective coated lenses can be added to your prescription eyeglasses for only $29!  These lenses also ship the same day you order and are available in regular plastic as well as thinner, lighter high-index material.
