There’s really no bad time of the year to get a new pair of prescription eyeglasses. Whether you’re heading off to school in the fall, treating yourself to a Christmas gift, or celebrating a birthday; these are all great occasions for new eyewear.
Of course, whenever your eye doctor writes an updated eyeglasses prescription it’s usually wise to get it filled. But there are plenty of other reasons to update your eyewear, some folks like to keep a fresh look while others wear different eyeglasses for work, social, and family gatherings. And if you’re eyeglass lenses get scratched it’s always refreshing to have a fresh new set of lenses.
So whatever your reason, there’s never a wrong time to get a new pair of prescription eyeglasses. And with glassesinaday.com, you know your new specs will be made exact to your specifications and will arrive in no time! That’s what we strive for @glassesinaday.
When ordering a pair of glasses at glassesinaday.com, you may see an option to select your PD. This is nothing to be alarmed about, it’s simply the distance between your two pupils in millimeters.
Some optometrists and ophthalmologists write this on our prescription while others may leave it off. If it’s not listed on your prescription you can always contact your eye doctor, the last place who made eyeglasses for you, or you can even measure it yourself in the comfort of your own home.
Your PD, or pupillary distance, is typically a number between 55 and 68 but you may be out of that range slightly on either end. Sometimes it’s written as a single number, such as 65. You may also see it written as two numbers, for example 33/32, which represents a measurement for the right eye and left eye respectively.
If you don’t have your PD handy, you can always measure it yourself using our handy PD measuring tool. Simply click the link at the bottom of glassesinaday.com that reads “P.D. Ruler” to print out the ruler. Measuring is easy as 1-2-3. Of course, if you have any questions you can always email us at info@glassesinaday.com.
Thank you for making glassesinaday.com your number one choice for quality prescription eyewear at an affordable price!
An anti-reflective coating is a multi-layered coating applied to the surface of your prescription eyeglass lenses. Its has many benefits and can help improve vision and visibility in a variety of situations.
Whether you’re using a computer (aren’t we all), driving at night, or spending time looking at any reflective surface, this coating can help! The coating helps to reduce glare and reflections that can appear from electronic devices, flourscent lighting, and automobile lights. The anti-reflective coating may help reduce fatigue and eye strain when using a computer–see the difference below…
At glassesinaday.com, an anti-reflective coating can be applied to all of our lenses! The great news is that lenses with anti-reflective coatings also ship the same day for single vision prescriptions.
To order your new eyeglasses with the anti-reflective coating, simply select the Standard, Super, or Premium lens package during checkout. Starting at only $29.00, this upgrade can make all the difference. So go ahead and say yes to anti-reflective lenses!
